Bar menu
Open all year

A Grade II listed inn on a picturesque village green, The Sun has gained a reputation for its real ale, with up to seven available at any time. There is also an excellent wine list to complement cooking from chef and owner Oliver Smith, whose menus are driven by local, seasonal produce. An appetiser of smoked sprats and horseradish might precede a starter of potted beef, pickled prunes and Yorkshire pudding, followed by a main course of venison saddle, swede, haggis mash, wild cabbage and sloe gin. Finish with salted caramel rice pudding, rum and raisins.
