A quintessential country pub with plenty of original features – flagstone floors and exposed beams – The Fox and Duck is right on the village green in picturesque Therfield and ideally situated for walking the Icknield Way, which passes directly outside. Ramblers and walking groups use the pub as a start and finish point, stopping in for a pint of IPA or one of the rotating guest ales. Food wise, there’s a bar menu and a carte and you can mix and match from either, maybe starting with chicken liver parfait and moving on to a trio of pork – loin, braised cheek and white pudding.
