Village pub infused with love and vitality by local family

The Bramley family were living in this pretty village when The Bull became available. Using their experience in managing gastro-pubs, they've made sure that this inn once again extended warm hospitality to all-comers. Families gather for Christmas carols around the huge inglenook fireplace, Morris dancers entertain in summer, and beer and cider festivals are hosted in May and October. Seasonality is also key to the kitchen’s work, together with the provenance of high-grade ingredients; rare breed meats, for example, are reared just outside the village. So expect menus of hearty British fare such as hand-made pie of the moment with buttery mash and tossed greens; a burger or chargrilled steak; or butternut squash and wild mushroom risotto.
