Although the current owners took over in 2015, this building has been an inn since 1839. Whether it’s in the stylish, airy bar or separate restaurant, the focus is on high quality food, real ales from the likes of Mad Squirrel and Black Sheep breweries, traditional ciders and global wines. The seasonal menu mixes traditional pub classics with contemporary dishes, all created from local produce. Head to the large sun-trap garden when the weather allows.
