Kids play area

The Robin Hood is a friendly, welcoming place. There’s a cosy seating area with comfy sofas, not one but two open fires and loos which are hidden behind a false bookcase door. The garden is huge, with a play area for children that includes a pirate ship. If you’re (sadly) too old to make use of that, there’s a decked area with lovely country views for relaxing with drinks and for alfresco dining. In the bar you’ll find Black Sheep and Timothy Taylor Landlord, and on the menu and specials board are dishes such as smoked haddock and gruyère fishcakes with chive sauce; puff pastry steak and ale pie, new crushed potatoes and veg; and black cherry Bakewell and clotted cream.
