A short walk from the waterfront, this former farmhouse occupies a prominent position on the road into Lee-on-the-Solent. Every inch a classic country free house, it has a large patio area at the front and an extensive back garden that’s ideal for summer relaxation, while real fires and cosy corners are welcome in winter. St Austell beer is sold alongside ales from the local breweries. A typical meal might be a home-made deep filled shortcrust pie; a pub favourite like slow-cooked pork belly with apple and Calvados compôte; or one of the fresh fish dishes. Sandwiches, wraps, salads and omelettes are offered too.
