This classic 18th-century free house is a real ale champion, so it’s worth a visit to savour the tip-top brews on hand pump. The pub sits smack on the Cotswold Way, and is formed from three terraced farm cottages known as ‘pig row’. The Ale festival held in May also showcases ciders, and fans of fermented apple juice enjoy the weekly alternating choice at the bar.
