Just north of Seven Dials in the residential area of Port Hall, this convivial Brighton pub keeps the neighbours happy with locally brewed Harvey's and Arundel Sussex Gold ales. Close links with Sussex producers, growers and foragers means a menu that changes with the seasons. A starter of breadcrumbed pig’s head, rosehip and hazelnuts might be followed by a main course of hogget breast with carrots, onion, chervil and watermint. Leave a space for innovative desserts such as cherry plum blossom, milk, hay, sorrel and birch syrup.
