The Tytherleigh Arms

Local produce at a smart 16th-century inn

At a glance

Bar menu
Dog friendly

This 16th-century coaching inn on the borders of Devon, Dorset and Somerset still retains plenty of original features, including beamed ceilings and huge fires, which make for a lovely setting if you are popping in for a pint of Branoc ale, or making a beeline for the daily-changing menu. Local produce drives the menu, whether it’s slow roast pork belly, braised fennel, quince purée, black pudding arancini; or poached fillet of cod, marinated squid and a sherry cream sauce. If there's room, have a go at pistachio parfait with a cranberry gel. The Tytherleigh Arms welcomes children over the age of five.
