A mixture of dining options at this popular inn

At a glance

Bar menu
Open all year

Handy for the famous surfing beaches at Woolacombe, this old inn is also a lovely watering hole for walkers and cyclists. Its friendly atmosphere, comprising a mix of happy banter from the locals and gentle jazz played at lunchtime, adds to the enjoyment of a pint selected from the five ales on offer, including Exmoor Gold. Choose between the bar, the slightly more contemporary lower bar, or a bright conservatory. The tasty menu is hard to resist, extending from a lunch of shredded duck wraps, to dinner dishes such as linguine with tiger prawns, mussels, chilli, garlic and white wine.
