Beer festival
Open all year

This 500-year-old forge and cider house is a true rural survivor, in a peaceful village just a short walk from the coastal path. The traditional worn flagstones, crackling log fires, rustic furnishings, village-brewed beers from Branscombe Vale, and the chatty atmosphere (no intrusive music or electronic games here) charm both locals and visitors. Hearty pub food includes home-made chicken liver and wild mushroom pâté served with hot toast; vension, vegetable and red wine pie and chips. There's a spit-roast and barbecue every Sunday evening between July and September. Don’t miss the midsummer beer festival.
