AA Pick of the Pubs
Bar menu

Postcard-pretty under its thatched roof, the 14th-century cob-and-flint Blue Ball in Sidford is popular with locals and visitors alike. Lovingly maintained, colourful and attractive gardens surround the inn. A wide selection of freshly prepared food from traditional beer battered fish and chips, and steak and kidney pudding to a wide range of fresh fish including crab, lobster, sole and mussels; in addition there are many other dishes from the regularly changing specials board. The wine list ranges from new world and more traditional choices that will suit all pockets. The real ales include local Otter Bitter, St Austell Tribute, Sharp’s Doom Bar and Bass. The inn is within easy reach of the M5, A303 and Exeter, and just minutes from stunning walks inland and along the coast. Families are very welcome here.
