When this was a farm, ginning was the process by which horses were used to turn a grindstone that crushed grain. It took place in the rounded area known today as the Ginn Room and which is now the main bar, serving local ales. The dining areas are attractively decorated and help to provide a welcoming atmosphere. The pub has a good reputation for food, there is an extensive menu and tasty, home-made chips.
