With a great seafront location, views across the Camel Estuary and a menu overseen by award-winning chef Nathan Outlaw, The Mariners is here to offer you ‘meat as nature intended’ and ‘beer brewed without compromise’. The former means all their beef is sourced from the south west, coming from native breeds (what breed you get will depend on when you visit, as all are at their best at different times of the year). Beers come from Sharp’s, so you can enjoy a pint of Doom Bar with your dinner. As well as those very particular steaks, cooked on the charcoal grill and served with hand-cut chips, the menu offers treats like potted Cornish crab or beer-cured salmon, before moving on to monkfish curry; grilled plaice, or pork belly with bacon jam and potato terrine.
