A change of hands and a recent refurbishment have taken place at this stone-built village inn on a hillside outside Penzance. With a wood-burner pumping out the heat, the interior is cosy, contemporary and welcoming. Glimpses of Mount's Bay reward drinkers taking the sun on the terrace, while menus offer traditional fare. There’s a good choice of jacket potatoes, burgers, sandwiches, home-made pasta dishes and pub classics like fish and chips and giant filled Yorkshire puddings.
