Dating from the 18th century, this former farmhouse with a large garden is steeped in history. It enjoys a picturesque site opposite the oldest half-timbered church still in use in Europe. Inside, many period details make for a comfortable atmosphere. Pull up a leather armchair or flop among cushions on the sofa by the roaring fire in the traditional bar, and choose from the good selection of Cheshire ales. Choose from a selection of fresh authentic dishes, served on small plates, including fish, classic pasta and meat-free options.
