In the coastal village of Pendine, famous for hosting world land speed records, this 500-year-old pub offers far-reaching beach views and is only four miles from Laugharne, famous for its Dylan Thomas connections. Traditional with a cosy lounge warmed by a real fire in winter, the bar and restaurant offer pub classics, as well as main courses such as pan-fried sea bass with white wine sauce; and Gwendraeth Valley gammon steak with pineapple and egg. The Sunday lunch carvery is a popular option and children can choose from their own menu.
