This rambling 17th-century village pub features oak beams, old brickwork and a wonderful central fireplace. Lunchtime offerings include a range of hot and cold sandwiches, wraps and salads as well as a full menu. Starters may include creamy garlic mushrooms or grilled haloumi with melba toast; while mains offer sausages, mash and red wine gravy; or mushroom and spinach lasagne. If you've still got room, go for banoffee tart or chocolate bread and butter pudding with custard. Occasionally, there’s live music on a Sunday afternoon.
