Beginning life as a manor hall in 1340, The Bell has reputedly been in the same family for 200 years. A 300-year-old, one-handed clock stands in the taproom ‘keeping imperfect time’, and the rack for the spit-irons and clockwork roasting jack are over the fireplace.
