This 17th-century, former coaching inn in a pretty village has a lot on offer. For starters, a bar with six hand-pulls with regularly changing real ales, craft lagers and 60 gins – probably the largest such collection in Bedfordshire. Then there's a pool table and a real fire in winter. A separate restaurant, Harrold's Indian, offers an extensive range of traditional dishes, including tandoori chilli bhuna, duck Darjeeling, and the signature zamir monkfish, to eat in or take away. Chicken and scampi, both with chips, is on the menu for non-Indian-food lovers.
