Pint of beer on a bar

The Inn on Loch Lomond

At a glance

Bar menu
Open all year
Dog friendly

Today a good road skirts Loch Lomond’s western shore, but it wouldn’t have been so good in 1814, when this wayside inn opened its doors. Today it incorporates Mr C’s Fish & Whisky Bar where the menu might feature haggis, neeps and tatties; Cullen skink; pea and herb risotto; and roast salmon and haddock fishcakes; and for dessert, cranachan (a mixture of whipped cream, whisky, honey and fresh raspberries, with toasted oatmeal soaked overnight in a little bit of whisky) or deep-fried Mars Bars with ice cream. A little shy of 200 whiskies are available, but if you prefer ale, there’s Loch Lomond or Sharp's Doom Bar. Live folk music is played on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the summer.
