The oldest purpose-built hotel in Britain, The Old Bell dates back to 1220 and originally provided accommodation to illustrious guests visiting the adjacent Malmesbury Abbey. Many features survive to tell its story – the original stone fireplace dating back to 1220 is a real focal point. Today, the hotel has been fully refurbished and offers high-quality, spacious accommodation and is well equipped for modern day travellers. Dining is not to be missed, whether a casual bite from the small plates menu served in the bar or the innovative and exciting menu served in the restaurant. A hearty breakfast sets guests up for a day exploring the surrounding Cotswolds.
