With stunning views of the Wharfedale countryside, this beautiful hotel, owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, dates back to the 17th century. A long tradition of fine hospitality continues to this day, as guests' needs are accommodated in fine style – attention to detail and friendly, personalised service are always in evidence. Bedrooms are elegantly furnished; those in the old part of the house are particularly spacious and have four-posters and fine antiques. The rest of the hotel is equally elegant, and it's a pleasure to spend time in one of the cosy sitting rooms. The Burlington Restaurant offers accomplished cuisine, while the Brasserie provides a lighter alternative. Both serve fresh, seasonal produce largely from the estate, neighbouring farms and the hotel's own kitchen garden.
