Located less than ten minutes stroll from the centre of Drogheda, this family-owned and operated boutique property was formerly a monastery. Built in the late 19th century, many of the architectural features of the period have been retained in this sympathetic refurbishment. This is also the case with the bedrooms; having previously been monk's cells, space is rather compromised, but they are all en suite, comfortable, with excellent beds and quality fabrics. Food is an important element of the business enjoyed in this warm and welcoming property. All-day dining is available in the Gastrolounge, where craft beers are a feature. Award-winning evening dining is offered in the restaurant. Breakfast is also noteworthy. The hotel is situated on an elevated site amid well-tended grounds and secure car-parking.
