2 Links Road, PRESTWICK, KA9 1QG
Prestwick was founded in 1851 and was the birthplace of the Open championships; it hosted the Open many times from 1860 to 1925. The club continues to host important international amateur events. Old Tom Morris designed the first course when he was the club's first Keeper of the Green; seven of the greens laid out by him are still in use today. This a seaside links course with natural hazards and difficult fast undulating greens.
