The Durham Ox is some 300 years old. The owners pride themselves on offering a friendly and efficient service, plus traditional pub food using only the best local ingredients. The pub has breathtaking views over the Vale of York on three sides, and a charming view up the hill to the medieval church on the other. Accommodation is mainly in four converted farm cottages. Crayke is in the heart of 'Herriot Country' and less than 20 minutes from York city centre.
