The Wharf House was built to replace the old lock cottage and, as the name suggests, it is located at the very edge of the river; it has pleasant views and an outdoor terrace. The bedrooms and bathrooms have been finished to a high standard, and there are plenty of guest extras. Seasonal, local produce can be enjoyed both at breakfast and dinner in the delightful AA Rosetted restaurant. The Wharf House is owned and run by the Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal Trust, and all profits go towards the promotion and restoration of the Hereford and Gloucester Canal.
