The AA Track Day at Silverstone, on Sunday 25 November 2012, offers you the chance to follow in the tyre tracks of motorsport greats such as Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.

One on one coaching

Experience and nerves of steel aren't necessary for our event – briefings and coaching on the day will literally get you up to speed. The instructors and safety team will keep everyone safe while allowing you to enjoy the excitement and freedom of circuit driving.

Please read the driver information pack here before attending the AA Track Day.


Drivers must have a valid DVLA licence, and both parts of it need to be shown on the day. Cars must be roadworthy and fall within Silverstone Circuits Limited's noise drive-by limit of 102db. All participants are required to wear a crash helmet and seatbelt at all times. All arms and legs must be covered; shorts and t-shirts are not permitted. We also advise that you wear sensible driving shoes or trainers.

Additional information

Participants and their guests are advised to wear clothing appropriate for the activity and season: casual comfortable clothing, warm jacket in the winter, and narrow fitting footwear (trainers are a good option). If in doubt, plan for the worst.

Please also note: 

  • Silverstone is within easy reach of the M40 and M1
  • the nearest train stations are Central Milton Keynes, Northampton and Banbury
  • spectators are welcome
  • crash helmets are available for hire
  • accommodation can be booked at Whittlebury Hall

Accident damage

Motorsport activities are by their very nature risky. Participants are responsible for damage caused to their car however caused, even if hit by a third party. If you are concerned, it is recommended that you take out appropriate track day insurance.
