The Flying Childers Inn

Main Road, STANTON IN PEAK, DE4 2LW

Set in the heart of the Peak District and surrounded by beautiful walking country, The Flying Childers was named after a champion racehorse owned by the 4th Duke of Devonshire. This stone-built village pub is now a cosy bolt-hole offering open fires, real ales, a well-considered wine list and reasonably priced lunchtime food such as liver and vegetable casserole, filled cobs (including pheasant) and toasties. Canine visitors are treated just as well as their owners with doggy bar snacks. Head outside to the lovely beer garden in summer.
