The Rising Sun

This 18th-century pub just off the High Street in Poole has a warm and relaxing atmosphere, whether you are popping for a pint of Doom Bar in the elegant lounge bar, or heading for the charming restaurants. The menus successfully combine traditional pub classics with more adventurous dishes and make sound use of fresh local ingredients. Starters might be Thai crab cakes and sweet chilli dip; or smoked mackerel with saffron new potato salad, and to follow beef Madras curry; burgers (including the vegetarian goats' cheese burger); or British shellfish linguine. Specials are chalked on the blackboards daily.
