The Anchor

Silver Street, CAMBRIDGE, CB3 9EL

This attractive pub is situated at the end of the medieval lane that borders Queens' College in the heart of this university city. Hard by the bridge over the River Cam, in fine weather the riverside patio is an ideal spot for enjoying one of a range of Greene King ales and guest beers, while watching the activities on the water. The more adventurous can hire a punt for a leisurely trip to Grantchester (of Rupert Brooke and Jeffrey Archer fame), and on return sample a choice of hearty meals from a range that includes lasagne, home-made pies and roast beef.
