10 Balcarres Road, MUSSELBURGH, EH21 7SD
A delightful links course weaving in and out of the famous Musselburgh Race Course. This course is steeped in the history and tradition of golf and can lay claim to being the oldest surviving golf course in the world. Mary Queen of Scots reputedly played golf at the old course in 1567, but documentary evidence dates back to 1672. The 1st hole is a par 3 and the next three holes play eastward from the grandstand at the racecourse. The course turns north-west towards the sea then west for the last four holes. Designed by nature and defined over the centuries by generations of golfers, the course has many natural features and hazards.
