20 Links Parade, CARNOUSTIE, DD7 7JF
This Championship Course has been voted the top course in Britain by many golfing greats and described as Scotland's ultimate golfing challenge. The course developed from origins in the 1560s; James Braid added new bunkers, greens and tees in the 1920s. The Open Championship first came to the course in 1931, and Carnoustie hosted the Scottish Open in 1995 and 1996, was the venue for the 1999 Open Championship, and again in 2007. The Burnside Course (6028yds) is enclosed on three sides by the Championship Course and has been used for Open Championship qualifying rounds. The Buddon Links has been extensively remodelled, making it ideal for mid to high handicappers.
