Explore York's Viking history on the very site where archaeologists discovered remains of the city of Jorvik. See over 800 of the items discovered on site and meet the famous Jorvik Vikings in our three exciting exhibitions, learn what life was like here more than 1000 years ago, and journey through a reconstruction of actual Viking streets. A new feature is 'Are You A Viking?', which uses scientific evidence to discover if you have Viking ancestors. 'Unearthed' tells how the people of ancient York lived and died, as revealed by real bone material. Special events throughout the year.
