RSPB Reserve Abernethy Forest, Forest Lodge, Nethybridge, BOAT OF GARTEN, PH25 3EF
Home of the Loch Garten Osprey site, this reserve holds one of the most important remnants of Scots Pine forest in the Highlands. Within its 30,760 acres are forest bogs, moorland, mountain top, lochs and crofting land. In addition to the regular pair of nesting ospreys, there are breeding Scottish crossbills, capercaillies, black grouse and many others. The ospreys can be viewed through telescopes and there is a live TV link to the nest. Please telephone for details of special events running throughout the year.
