Description
Set up in order to rescue monkeys and apes from abuse and illegal smuggling, Monkey World houses over 230 primates in 65 acres of Dorset woodland. There is the largest group of chimps outside Africa, as well as orang-utans, gibbons, woolly monkeys, lemurs, macaques and marmosets. Those wishing to help the centre continue in its quest to rescue primates from lives of misery may like to take part in the adoption scheme which includes free admission to the park for one year. There are keeper talks every half hour, and the south's largest Great Ape Play Area for kids.
