This 17th-century farmhouse and inn underwent a renovation some two years ago when new owners Andrew and Jackie Murphy took over. Food is very much to the fore here, and fresh, local produce is sourced by head chef Peter Hulsmann. There are two bedrooms in the barn, separate to the inn, and two bedrooms within the main building; all are smartly presented and comfortable. The bar, with beams and a wood-burner, offers a good selection of beers and spirits and a sound wine list. Guests can eat in the bar or the separate restaurant area. There is a conservatory lounge to relax in, as well as a garden.
