It's worth a detour off the main road to this family-run restaurant with rooms set in the centre of the village. It has earned AA Rosettes for dinner, and the excellent breakfasts are equally memorable. A huge fire dominates the restaurant on cooler evenings, and there is a small lounge with limited seating. The attractive bedrooms are tastefully decorated and thoughtfully equipped; the larger two are furnished in pine.
