"My nightshift ended in a nightmare"

#ithappenedtome

"I had just finished a very busy night shift at the hospital, and, to put it mildly, I was dog tired. You can imagine just how I felt when, on pulling out of the hospital car park, I noticed that my brakes were seemingly still applied.

"After travelling a few yards down the road I decided that there was no alternative but to stop and call the AA. To add to my feeling of gloom, the temperature that morning was well below freezing and I was sure that I would be in for a long wait behind a queue of other members.

"To my great surprise though, the AA Patrol turned up in under 45 minutes, and during that time I was kept updated by text message. The speed and efficiency, along with the information that the patrol gave me about the problem, really impressed me.

"I had thought it would be inevitable that I would have to be towed to a garage or my home. However, within what seemed a very short space of time, he explained his findings, explained his recommendations and there I was, heading off home.

"The next day, my car was repaired at my local garage with the minimum of fuss and with little disruption to my busy work schedule."
