"Didn't know if we were coming or going"

#ithappenedtome

My colleague Darren Gough and I have seen a few things in our time, but this was a new one on us. We came across a broken down car - ok, nothing new there - then we went around the back of it, and that was the thing... there was no back! It had two front ends. I thought I was seeing things. Then I looked closer and saw there were two steering wheels, two sets of pedals and two dashboards.

It even had two AA badges, proudly displayed at either end. I don't think I've ever had to ask which end of the car needed attention before!

We chatted to the owner, who had bought it on ebay and restored it. It was originally two cars that had been built in the 1980s. He was on his way to Dorset Steam Fair to display it. We got the owner and his wife to Salisbury where they were met by a friend and we towed the car (or is it cars?) to Dorset so they could carry on with their week away. We got plenty of stares on that trip! It was great to be able to help them out and get them and their very unusual car to Dorset.
