"The AA looked after me and the kids"

#ithappenedtome

I work as a childminder and I absolutely love my job. And naturally it goes without saying that I it is my duty to make sure that the children in my care are safe. That’s why a few weeks ago, I was so glad that I had AA Breakdown Cover.

I was approaching a roundabout on a very busy road on my way to collect one of the children I was looking after from school. (I also had another one sitting in the back.) Suddenly, the car just stopped – dead. I kept trying to restart the car but nothing happened. That’s when the panic began to kick in. Thankfully, a kindly passer-by helped me push the car off the road and I managed to call the AA.

The AA patrol arrived very quickly I’m pleased to say, as I was worrying about the child I was supposed to be picking up from school, even though I had phoned through to tell them what had happened. I started to get a little bit anxious when the AA man said that he would have to tow me to a nearby garage. “I’ve never been towed before”, I said. Anyway, he told me not to worry and took me through the whole process so that I felt very safe and secure. Before I knew it we had dropped the car off at the garage and I had both the children at home safe and sound.
