Our breakdown services
Roadside
The basic level of cover provides 24/7 roadside assistance in the UK. Cover is available for cars, motorbikes, caravans, small vans, taxis, and minibuses if you're over ¼ a mile from your home.
If your car can't be fixed, you'll be taken to the nearest suitable garage.
Home Start
Whatever the cause, whether it's flat tyres or batteries, 1 in 4 breakdowns happen before you've even left home. Select Home Start and you'll be covered from your driveway to the motorway.
Relay
If you break down miles from home, you can choose where in the UK the vehicle and up to 7 passengers are taken, rather than the nearest garage, if your car can't be fixed.
Stay Mobile
While Relay will take you where you need to go, your car will still need to be repaired. This cover can ensure you stay mobile for up to three days. So if your car needs garage work following an AA breakdown, choose from:
- a courtesy car for 72 hours
- a day's public transport fares
- a night's hotel expenses
Cover for parts and garage labour
Serious faults could land you with unexpected repair bills if your car needs a part at the roadside or garage work following an AA breakdown. Breakdown Repair Cover gives you cover for:
- replacement parts
- garage labour
- five claims of up to £500 per year including VAT, less a £25 excess
Breakdown Repair Cover costs from £73.50. We can also cover cars over 10 years old or those with higher mileage (100,000 miles) from £96.
