Course overview

After completing your session, your trainer will work with you on a personalised action plan for motorway driving, with the option to arrange follow up sessions if you need them.

Your trainer is there to reassure, support and make your course as enjoyable as possible. They're not an examiner, and should feel like a friendly and expert voice in your ear.

Supporting a learner driver

Learners who have professional instruction and private practice with a friend or family member can learn more quickly. And they often do better during the driving test.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency recommends that people who support learners undergo driving skills training before taking a learner out for practice.

If you're supporting a learner, we offer a 2-hour in-car course to refresh your skills and ensure that you and your learner get the best out of your practice sessions. For more information call us on 0800 316 2724.
