I have just purchased a used BMW 435D XDrive with around 7000 miles. As far as I can see so far this car is 100%. It runs well, perhaps too well, loads of power.......instant power the minute you depress the pedal! Just remember to set the Limiter if you are driving on roads monitored by Average Speed Cameras and you will be safe. The boot size is great for a coupe and if you were to put the rear seats down you land up with a huge space which would easily take 2 large suitcases with ease. The leather seats are great and I have discovered that when you put the heated seats on max it really heats your undercarriage and your back almost to your shoulder blades! The driving position is good and both passenger and driver seats can be adjusted with ease to suit most peoples build. The only thing that I am surprised is that BMW still fit manual handbrakes whilst other manufacturers tend to fit electronic handbrake switches which automatically release when you move off. The car drives and hugs the road really well and I cannot fault it. I cannot comment on the 435D reliability but having owned 3 previous 3 series BMWs I would say that BMW reliability is pretty good........time will tell. The car has a twin turbo so is FAST but it can be driven in a gentle manner as well so don't be put off by this comment. Another plus for me is that my Insurance has decreased (Owned a Jaguar LandRover SUV prior to this) by around £40 but I am an older person with 10+ years of No Claims. If you are thinking of buying this type of car be aware that it is pricey! BMW tend to aim their new prices pretty much as high as they can so buying a good second-hand vehicle is perhaps the way to go......also remember that if the vehicle was registered prior to 1st April 2017 then you will only pay £155 for a years road tax as opposed to £450 (Govt tax of £310 added to the yearly tax for 5 years on vehicle valued over £40,000 So in conclusion, I would fully recommend this make and series of car and give it 100% thumbs up.
