AA Campsite of the Year (Heart of England)

Clippesby Hall

Clippesby

Clippesby Hall, Clippesby, Norfolk

A lovely country house estate with camping and touring facilities spread over eight distinctive areas, with a choice of secluded pitches hidden among the trees or in family-orientated pitches set in sheltered sunny glades. Guests can expect spacious pitches and good privacy. The general landscaping and well-maintained grounds are impressive and there’s still very much a natural feel and level of exclusivity across the park. The ‘Quiet Gardens’ are very pleasant and are worth exploring and kids will enjoy the bug hotel and aviary.

New for 2019, the fabulous ‘Basecamp’ amenity area has a new-look reception, a stylish bar and café area serving breakfasts, light lunches and evening pizzas and gourmet burgers, and a well-stocked mini-market. Decor, fixtures and fittings are very smart, and teamed with plenty of natural light it makes for a very strong first impression on arrival at the park.

Excellent hardstanding pitches are available as the park is open all year. The toilet facilities, appointed to a very good standard with high levels of cleanliness, provide a wide choice of privacy cubicles. There are pine lodges with private hot tubs, cottages and four new shepherd’s huts for holiday lets. A worthy winner of the Heart of England award.
