AA Small Campsite of the Year

Charoland Farm

Charoland

Charoland Farm, Greenhalgh, Lancashire

A peacefully located, adults-only touring park based on an award-winning beef cattle and sheep farm, in the hamlet of Greenhalgh in rural Lancashire, ideal for touring the many Fylde Coast attractions, with arguably Britain’s most famous resort, Blackpool, as well as Lytham St Annes and Fleetwood all within a twelve-mile distance. The site is surrounded by meadows and farmland making this an ideal spot for walks and cycle trails.

All pitches are firm, with reinforcing mesh installed, and benefit from 16amp electric hook up. Central all-level areas are surfaced with very attractive sunken bricks, which complement the colour of the lush grassed areas. Touring and camping areas are surrounded by high neat hedges to eliminate external noises and new trees and shrubs have been planted between pitches, to assist in the creation of optimum privacy. Level, surfaced access to amenities benefits the less mobile and smart modern showers and toilet facilities are located in a sympathetic barn conversion.

A small chalet contains a good range of tourist information and a small supermarket is just a 15-minute walk away. The park also benefits from a good gated security system, to ensure peace of mind.
