Are there any restrictions for the vehicles you cover?

We cover vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes (3.4 tons) and 6.4 metres (21 feet) in length. The Pay For Use (PFU) service covers vehicles of any weight and length. Just call us on 0800 55 11 88 and ask which level of cover would best suit your company's needs. We also offer cover for more specialist vehicles, eg taxis, ambulances. How much is the VAT on the fleet insured membership fees?

There is no VAT imposed on fleet insured cover.

What do you mean by Pay for Use membership?

Once you've paid an initial fee, you only pay each time you call us out.

I have a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) – can it be covered under my fleet insured membership?

No. You would need to take out our Pay for Use package.

When will I be able to use my membership?

You can use your breakdown cover 24 hours after opening an account.

How long does it take to open my account?

Your account will be opened as soon as we receive your completed application form and payment.

How soon will I receive my membership cards?

You should receive your membership cards around seven days after your account is opened.

Do I need my membership card if I need to call out the breakdown service?

It will help to speed up the process and ensure your driver knows which number to phone, however, we will be able to find out your membership number from the vehicle registration number.

Can the company be invoiced if a patrol has to fit any spare parts?

For PFU customers the patrol would fit the part and you would be invoiced for this on the next monthly invoice date. For fleet insured customers the driver would have to pay for the part there and then unless alternative arrangements had been made prior to call-out.

What if I sell one of my covered vehicles mid-way through my membership period?

You can add another vehicle in its place at any point up to renewal of your cover.

Yes, if you take out the Fleet Europe or European Breakdown Cover. For more information, please call us on 0800 55 11 88.

What countries are covered by Fleet Europe?

You should depart from either Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.

You will be covered within the following countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Republic of Ireland, Italy and San Marino, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
