What does buildings insurance cover?

It covers the structure of your home against incidents such as fire, theft, storm, flood, burst pipes, subsidence and explosion, for the cost of rebuilding or repairing your home.

Permanent fixtures within your home, like built-in furniture in the kitchen or bedroom and your central heating system are covered. Outside of your home – outbuildings, patios, paths, drives, walls, gates, hedges and fences are also covered.
