Excess Protection

With Excess Protection you can get your car insurance policy excess reimbursed when you make a claim. This cover allows you to claim back your excess on one car insurance claim during the 12 months of your car insurance policy.

Excess Protection covers claims involving:

  • Accidental damage
  • Malicious damage
  • Theft or attempted theft
  • Fire

You can claim back your excess on claims where you're responsible or the other party involved is uninsured or can't be indentified.

Excess Protection is available with Comprehensive or Third Party, Fire & Theft AA Car Insurance.

Excess Protection benefits

  • Covers your full policy excess (voluntary and compulsory excesses combined)
  • Allows you to claim your policy excess back on one car insurance claim
  • Peace of mind
The chances of being involved in an accident with an uninsured driver are higher than you may think. It's estimated that 5% of cars on the road are driven without insurance.* With Excess Protection you won't be left out-of-pocket if your car's damaged by an uninsured vehicle.
