All you need to know about Travel

About our travel information

If I have a comment on an establishment, walk or bike ride, or event that I have found on the AA Travel website, how can I let you know?

When your selected entry is shown, you have the option in the top box to 'Write a review ...'. We always welcome your views and comments, and we would really like to know if you find a mistake so that we can correct it as soon as possible. If you send a review of an AA Travel entry, other users will be able to read about your experiences, too.

Also, to let us know of a mistake, you can email our travel editors directly to let us know.

Do you feature hotels, B&Bs, campsites and holiday cottages outside Great Britain and Ireland?

No, at the moment we can only feature accommodation in Great Britain and Ireland online. The AA does publish guides to B&Bs in France and to campsites in France and Europe. Go to the AA bookshop page and follow the link from Lifestyle Guides.

If I live within the EU can I bring my pet on a holiday to the UK?

The importation of animals into the UK is subject to strict controls, and penalties for trying to avoid these controls are severe. However, the Pet Travel Scheme (PETS) allows cats, dogs, ferrets and certain other pets coming from the EU and certain other countries to enter the UK without quarantine provided the appropriate conditions are met. Visitors intending to bring pets into the UK should consult The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) at least seven months in advance of their proposed date of travel. Details of other qualifying countries and more information is available on the DEFRA website www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/quarantine/index.htm.

Or telephone the PETS helpline on 0870 241 1710 (8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, or email quarantine@animalhealth.gsi.gov.uk.

Pets resident in the British Isles (UK, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands) are not subject to any quarantine or PETS rules when travelling within the British Isles.
